MagicOffer ("we", "us", "our") provides an interview assistant that delivers live captions, tailored answers, and resume optimization across our web application and Chrome extension. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect your data.

What we collect

• Account data: Email, username, basic profile details (name, phone, country), and membership tier.
• Profile content you provide: Resume text, professional summary, skills, experience, education.
• Interview usage: Start/stop times and duration used to enforce plan limits (STANDARD monthly caps; PRO/ULTRA/HERMES unlimited).
• Job data (optional): Job descriptions, company, job title, job URL, and tailored resume files you generate via the extension.
• Billing: Payments are processed by third parties (Stripe for cards, crypto networks for USDT). We receive basic payment status but do not store raw card details.
• Technical: Basic logs and site visits to maintain reliability and detect abuse.

Live captions and AI processing

For live captions, we process audio from your shared tab/system audio in your browser. When enabled, audio is streamed to Deepgram for speech recognition. When you generate AI answers or tailored resumes, request text and your provided profile/JD content are sent to OpenAI to produce a response. We do not sell your data.

• Deepgram: Used for automatic speech recognition (ASR). We send short audio frames for transcription.
• OpenAI: Used to generate answers and tailor resumes. We send prompts that may include your profile and the job description you provided.

Chrome extension specifics

• The extension can read highlighted job descriptions you select and send them to our backend to tailor a resume.
• You can optionally enter a company name and job title. We store job rows you choose to record for your own tracking.
• Downloads may occur via our domain to retrieve generated DOCX/PDF files.

How we use your data

• Provide live captions and AI assistance based on your inputs.
• Track and enforce usage limits per membership tier.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Improve reliability, detect misuse, and support users.

Data retention

• Account and membership records: retained while your account is active or as required by law.
• Usage counters: retained to enforce limits and for billing records.
• Job records (your Jobs page): retained until you delete them.
• Generated files: stored under your account; you may delete or regenerate them at any time.

Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and least-privilege practices. Third-party processors (Stripe, Deepgram, OpenAI) operate their own secure infrastructure. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and protect your devices.

Cookies

We use cookies for session management and authentication. Blocking cookies may limit app functionality.

Your choices

• View or update your profile in My Account.
• Delete job rows from the Jobs page.
• Cancel your subscription at any time.
• Contact us to deactivate your account.

International transfers

We may process and store data in the United States and other regions where our providers operate.

Children

MagicOffer is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our product or laws. We will post the updated date at the top of this page.
